Felt Balls ~ Fotae Fotae (how to)

Hey everyone! Shelby here and today I will be telling you about Fotae Fotae. What is it, you ask? Well, it's a pink Shaker that forms Felt Balls. These are BEFORE the Fotae Fotae, which we will learn to make now.

To make them, you need some Roving. Now, take a VERY whispy, little, piece and lay it down. Continue with Multi colored roving, around the same size. PLEASE doNOT put one in the same direction of the other. It should turn out looking like a star.

Stop when you have about 6-8 layers. Now, what's different from THIS tutorial is that, you don't waste tons of roving! For this tutorial, you need a Pom Pom. You can get them at Micheals, Joanne's, and every other hobby/craft store. Now, use sparkly pom-poms and LESS roving to show a little sparkle once the Ball is finished, or use more to not show any. I will show sparkle for this tutorial!
Once the Pom Pom is placed in the middle of your "Roving Star" bring the sides up and over, tucking them into eachother.

If you don't fell like it will stay, feel free to add a long piece of roving and wrap it around your whole ball to secure it.
Were almost done! Now, to put it in the Fotae Fotae. This is it! (I will add another post showing where to buy the Fotae Fotae soon)
Simply place the ball in one of the Fotae Fotae Coulunms.

Please note to get one small bowl, and one larger one. Put cold water in the Smaller one, and Hot water in the Larger one. PLEASE MAKE SURE TO PUT DAWN OR OTHER DISHSOAP IN THE HOT WATER BOWL.
After all the preparations, dunk the one side in the HOT WATER and take it out. Now, clip it with the other Fotae Fotae.
Now, take it...and SHAKE IT! SHake it 15-20 times, out of the water. Now, dunk it in again--Rinse and Repeat!

Now, after shaking it out of the water, proceed to the cold water bowl.

Now, 2nd time through, shake the Fotae Fotae, but INSIDE the hot water. Do the same out, in, and out!
Check to see if you are done. if it looks like a formed felt ball, remove it from the Fotae Fotae and dip it alone in the cold water bowl. Squeeze to get the water out, and your done!

It takes overnight to dry, so be careful.

You can use them for pom-poms, felt birds, flowers, and anything else you can imagine! I hope you enjoyed this Tutorial, and I hope everyone has a happy new year!

EOS Unboxing 5 Pack!

Hi everyone!! I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas! I will be posting reviews on what I got for Christmas very soon!

Today we are going to talk about EOS. If you don't know what it is, it is Lip Balm in sphere shape, and when you twist off the cap it is in a dome shape. There are many flavors and they are all color coordinated to what that flavor is.  EOS is pronounced E (as a letter) O (as a letter) S (as a letter) or, eeh-oh-es . EOS stands for Evolution Of Smooth. This brand has created hand lotion, shaving cream, and what is it most known for is these lip balms.

Today I will be reviewing the 5 pack I bought a Costco. It was a whopping 11 dollars plus tax. At other places it is up to 40 dollars. As always, go to Costco for the best deal.

These are the Balms in comes with. Passion Fruit, Strawberry Sorbet, Sweet Mint, Summer Fruit, and Honeysuckle Honeydew. The Purple Passion Fruit is Limited edition, and is only found it 2 MultiPacks. *That of I know of* This one and a Limited Edition pack with Passion Fruit and Strawberry Sorbet. Since I now have both, you could say I have 2 MultiPacks. (I guess...)

The first EOS I will be discussing is the Sweet Mint. I personally hate mint, but I know all of you must. So, the smell is VERY strong. It also has a hint of chocolate. I didn't even open it up and it had a strong aroma. When you put it on it is tingly, and very cool. If you like Mint Gum you'll love this stuff. I give it 2.5/5 because I hate mint, but the color is very cool and pretty. It reminds me of Icicles.

Now I will be talking about Strawberry Sorbet. The title says it all! I am not an Artificial Strawberry Flavor lover, but this stuff got me hooked! The pink color is so much like pastel I can't handle it! It smells like a field of strawberries, and even though all the ingredients in EOS are 100% natural and 95% organic, it's not artificial. It just slightly smells like that. Talking more about the natural, that's why everyone loves it. There is Shea butter and Jojoba Oil, and it's all natural. Plus EOS doesn't test on animals, so it's great for every Animal Testing Boycotting needs. Overall, I give this particular one 3/5, because the smell is a bit tacky but everything else is great.

Now I will be talking about Honeysuckle Honeydew. I was very happy when I found out I was getting this flavor, because I've been wanting it for a while. I have to say it's nothing like Honeysuckle. It should be called Cucumber Crisp. It doesn't smell like cucumber but the aroma of the Honeydew has the illusion it does. Speaking of that, this REALLY smells like honeydew! It actually smells like I went to a farm, picked a Honeydew Fruit, and am eating it. It is so real it has to bump up my overall score 2 higher! Now, the color is a little off. it is light but not Pastel, and has a hint of dark. it is iffy, but pretty. in the picture below it looks lime, but that's just what the camera did to it. I give this a 4.5/5 score.

Our next Lip Balm is Summer Fruit. I LOVE this. After reading all the reviews I thought it wouldn't be the best, but I'm soooo glad I have it. Not only is it a nice, light, watermelon-y shade of red, the smell is up-right amazing! it is Peach and (perhaps) Apricots mixed, and it's great. It's the perfect combo and it's not too strong, but not too faint. This smell is one of the best I've seen from EOS, so I'm giving this one a 5/5!

Our last Lip Balm is the Passion Fruit. It is Limited Edition and is sold on it's on for a bit over 8 dollars average! I'm so happy I have it!! I can't even DESCRIBE this flavor. It's almost like a bit of the strawberry, but also Mulberry. Well, no Passion Fruit at all but it's an amazing scent. I love the color, it is like lavender. I give this 5/5!

These are my favorite to least favorite; Favorite: Summer Fruit 2nd Favorite: Passion fruit 3rd favorite: Honeysuckle Honeydew 4th favorite: Strawberry Sorbet 5th favorite: Sweet Mint

I hope you enjoyed this review. overall I give this 5 pack a 4/5 rating. the packaging is cute and it is true value. Make sure to get it at Costco for the best deal!

Everyone, happy holidays. I hope you are enjoying them! Stay tuned for Cute Stockings and a TON more! I have a lot planned for the next year, and I hope you can stay tuned.

Quick, EASY, cheap, Xmas Gift!

Hi everyone! Today I will show you QUICK SIMPLE and CHEAP Christmas Gifts!

With Christmas LITERALLY tomorrow, you know that one person that you either work with, loosely know, or want to give an extra gift to. Well, no more wondering! For this, all you need is a few bands and optionally beads. Almost everyone knows the big trend--Rainbow loom. But, that's not it! But, Rainbow Loom and other brands sell re-fill packs. But, if you don't know what Rainbow Loom is, it's a Loom where you link bands together to make braceleet. (I will be posting a more vivid Post about this, later) All you need is a few Rubber bands to make these cute rings!

1 - SIMPLE STYLE (Beads Optional)BEGINNER LEVEL
Ok, for this one you just need 2 bands. First step- take the first rubber band, and take the second one and put it through the first. It should look like this.
Now, the band you pulled through, pull both sides so it looks like 2 bands.

Now, please Listen to this part. We will be doing a Slip Knot, and we need to do this in all the rings. So, take ONE SIDE of the band. Pull it through the other side. The Side of the Band you put through the other one, pull hard. It should become a little Knot ... (Ring Shown Above)

This is the Optional Version. All you have to do is take a bead (Please, one with a BIG hole) Preferably a pony bead, and put it through the bands.

Please make sure the Bead is Centered, covering the knot.
It SHOULDN'T be slanted to one side, it should be centered.

Above is the WRONG way to do it.

2 - Fountain Burst (No beads)EXPERT LEVEL

For this pattern you need 5 bands. 4 of the 5 bands should be colorful, like a fountain. Use any colors you like, but these 4 bands are the ones that are bursting out of the ring.
First, take your 4 rubber bands and put them on your fingers. For this one, you'll need to use your feet!!

Take your fifth band and put it on one big toe. Stretch it and turn it onto the other toe.

Put your 4 bands through the band on your toes, and pull both sides. it should look like the image below!

Now, this is the HARD part. Take the bottom half of your 4 bands and put it up and through the other side of your single band. Now, do the Slip Knot, mentioned in the first pattern. Pull down, and remove from your toes. Spread the loose bands out to create a fountain like burst!

3 - Rolling Tire (Bead MUST HAVE) Beginner to Intermediate

This is the last pattern, the Rolling Tire. it's a Rolling Tire because the bead us positioned on it's side. Please use a pony bead with a big hole to do this pattern.

Take one band, and with your pony bead pull it through.

Now, stretch it far apart. Now, be careful. Take one end and do the Slip Knot Mentioned in Pattern one. This is your final product!

Tada! I hope these easy patterns helped for your Christmas Needs! Merry Christmas and I hope you all have fun. I will be posting a TON more--I have a lot of pictures ready!!!!

See you next time
